Younger snackers are also being introduced to this \u2018bitter\u2019 trend through puree pouches, with US brand Happy Family Organics\u2019 offering flavours such as green bean, zucchini, spinach, kale or purple carrot, while in the UK, Ella\u2019s Kitchen aims to promote healthy eating in later life by introducing tiny taste buds to savoury flavours like pea, broccoli and potato.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Functional snacks<\/strong><br \/>\nSnacks are no longer expected to just \u2018fill the gap\u2019 between meals, but also provide other health and lifestyle benefits.
